Description | Named thus based on a BLASTP search against NCBI nr. Both Myc_N domain and leucin zipper motif seem to be missing from this gene model. Adi-myc2 forms single clade with Nematostella myc (Nem32) by the molecular phylogenetic analysis (Maximum likelihood). Adi-myc-like, Adi-myc1 and Adi-myc2 are aligned tandemly in the genome (There are five intervening genes between Adi-myc-like and Adi-myc1). Nematostella myc genes (Nem32, Nem33, Nem35 and Nem65) are also aligned tandemly in its genome (See Simionato et al., 2007). |
